These digital dissections of fresh specimens allow for the observation of all internal organs in 3D. Each specimen was carefully dissected and at three time points during each dissection, a 3D structured light scan was made. This scanning technology utilises a structured pattern of light that is projected onto the specimen's surface to capture its precise 3D shape in addition to its true colouration.
