Vertebrate anatomy

These digital dissections of fresh specimens allow for the observation of all internal organs in 3D. Each specimen was carefully dissected and at three time points during each dissection, a 3D structured light scan was made. This scanning technology utilises a structured pattern of light that is projected onto the specimen's surface to capture its precise 3D shape in addition to its true colouration. The resulting 3D models can be found here.
